It’s AB That’s ME, and I’m back with your end-of-week rewind full of glam, grit and a few raised eyebrows. This Flashback Friday is packed with sober sparkle and a healthy dose of “wait... did that really happen?” These are top posts from our sober archives.
First up, can we please talk about Miranda’s shiny new relationship with AA in “And Just Like That…?” That white-on-white church scene? I’ve been to my fair share of 12-step meetings in my 19 years — and honey, that was not it. Did we take a detour from “Quit Like a Woman” and end up in an Architectural Digest fever dream? Somebody catch me up, because I’m confused and concerned.
Next, if you haven’t read “Unwifeable” by Mandy Stadtmiller, I’m gonna need you to clear your weekend. It’s “Sex & the City” meets rock bottom —shaken, not stirred — with a splash of name-dropping and full-blown honesty. It’s raw, messy and so worth it.

In the second episode, we witness Miranda’s public declaration of her alcoholism at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting set in a glamorously pristine white church in the Hollywood hills. Having attended countless AA meetings across the country during my 17-year tenure, I have never encountered such opulence and gleam for a 12-step environment. This deviation from the narrative in Season One that previously saw Miranda immersed in Holly Whittaker’s “Quit Like a Woman” left me questioning, “How long was I out?” In my experience, it’s rare to find Whittaker fans who embrace 12-step rooms. So how did Miranda end up here, and why are the details of this storyline so incredibly vague?
