Howdy folks!
This week, I’m dusting off some gems worth a second (or third) look. First up, Back to Black — the Amy Winehouse biopic that still gives me chills. From her early Camden days to the creation of one of the most iconic albums ever, it’s a bittersweet reminder of her brilliance and the heartbreak behind the music. Then, I’m revisiting Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe — a book I stumbled upon in a little Crested Butte (should be called Crested CUTE) bookstore that spoke straight to my single-mom, recovery-loving heart.
For your taste buds, I’m bringing back Best Day Brewing’s Galaxy Ripple Imperial IPA (still smells so good it should be a Glade PlugIn) by Senior Sober Curator Contributor Justin Lamb (our resident NA beer nerd) , and for your creative side, the LEGO Flower Bouquet — forever in bloom, zero watering required. And because I’ll never stop championing tools for a brighter mindset, I’m pulling out my roundup of 14 motivational card decks to help you slow down, breathe, and maybe even sneak in a little desk yoga. No booze, no wilted petals… just my favorite sober treasures worth another spin.

Get excited and get spacey because this week, we are joined by our faithful friend from the freakiest coast. I’m talking about Best Day Brewing, a brewery that popped up out of nowhere one day with three kick-ass brews and has returned with a new galactic treat. I would like to clarify that I previously credited Best Day Brewing to Waunakee, Wisconsin, but in fact, it appears they only distribute through the Midwest and are actually based in California. That’s probably why their hops are so damn dank and fresh.
