SOBER SLOGAN OF THE DAY:
Another one of my favorite sober slogans is a classic mainstay: “One day at a time” Because promising myself a forever lifetime of sobriety sounds about as appealing as signing a lifelong celibacy contract. Back in my drinking days, I’d swear off booze forever at 9 a.m., then by happy hour my brain was already negotiating “just one little fling” with the bottle and the blow like it was an ex who still looked good in dim lighting.
Now I stick to the 24-hour plan, telling myself, “Hey, bro, you only have to stay faithful to sobriety until bedtime—tomorrow you can worry about her own bad decisions.” It’s a cheeky little loophole that keeps me honest: commit to one day of not screwing up (or screwing around with old habits), and suddenly staying sober feels a lot more like a hot date than a life sentence.
..and suddenly, "forever" becomes "today," and my brain stops throwing a full-blown tantrum about never drinking again, because who has the energy to freak out over something that hasn't happened yet?

The ABCs of Sober Living: 26 Funny Truths About Sobriety
Because recovery doesn’t mean you lose your personality. It means you get it back.
If you’re new to sobriety (or just sober-curious and cautiously sniffing the lifestyle like it’s a suspicious leftover in the fridge), you might have one big fear:
“If I stop drinking… will I become boring?”
First of all: rude.
Second of all: absolutely not.

Happy New Year. Well, sort of.
Astrologically speaking, the real new year kicks off around March 21st with Aries season, but I'm not splitting hairs here. Let's celebrate the start of 2026 anyway.
Here's what you need to know: This year is going to be fast. Unlike 2025 with all its false starts, reviews, switchbacks, and hope-crushing moments, 2026 moves in a straight line. Think less stop-and-go traffic, more open highway.
WHAT A TRIP!
Dry-Tripping Goes Mainstream: Sober Lifestyle Cruises & Travel in 2026
For years, cruises carried a reputation that didn’t suit everyone — a sort of floating pub drifting from one sunny port to the next. For those choosing a sober lifestyle or exploring a sober‑curious lifestyle, the idea of stepping aboard felt like walking into a party you’d already decided to leave.
Yet as we enter 2026, sober travel adventures and international sober vacations have quietly entered the mainstream. The question is no longer “Will I manage without a drink?” but “Is this the kind of journey that fits the life I’m living now?” For many, modern cruising offers structure, calm, and the chance to travel with intention.

"Evil Among Us" by Alex L. Konecki: A Harrowing Memoir of Mental Illness, Addiction, and Family Tragedy
No one ever expects their own brother to burn the house down.
Every so often, a book comes along that you know will linger long after you’ve closed the cover. "Evil Among Us" by Alex L. Konecki is one of those rare, unforgettable reads.
Alex is a local Seattle-area author whom I crossed paths with years ago through the CrossFit and gym community. Even back then, I remember hearing about the unimaginable tragedy his family endured — the events of January 14, 2016, when his brother, during a period of severe addiction and a long history of untreated mental illness, set their family home on fire and killed their mother. It was one of those stories that stays with you, even from a distance.

FIFTY. YEARS. SOBER. Please rise. 👏 Sir Anthony Hopkins just celebrated 50 years of sobriety, and if that’s not main-character, long-game, mic-drop energy, we don’t know what is. WELLNESS AS A WAY OF LIFE
Embrace Every Stage: Community-Driven Hormonal Health for Women
I remember standing in my kitchen at 4 AM, wide awake for the third night in a row, my mind and body wide awake for no apparent reason. At 46, I knew this wasn't just stress. My body was speaking a language I was only beginning to understand: the complex vocabulary of hormonal transition. That sleepless night became the catalyst for exploring how intentional retreat experiences could support women through every hormonal chapter of their lives.
Traditional healthcare often treats hormonal shifts as isolated symptoms to manage rather than natural transitions to navigate with grace and wisdom. But what if we approached these life stages differently? What if we created space for women to gather, learn, and heal together in environments designed specifically for hormonal balance?

I Think Love is Glory by Andrew Littlefield
I was introduced to the idea of glory through my Christian faith. Or maybe through watching Raiders of the Lost Ark. That mysterious force powerful enough to destroy those who look upon it. A power both good and evil seek to possess. Glory.
I have come to believe that love is glory.

Empowering Audio Storytelling… Experience “Now” by Mike James
How do you describe an audio experience that has no equal?
How do you convince others to spend their time listening to an album not only for entertainment purposes, but because the therapeutic return on their investment could rival hours spent in a clinician's chair?
Fortunately, I’m not tasked with marketing Mike James's “Secrets of a Life Coach” series. However, through offering a transparent look at his first album, “Now”, I hope to persuade you to immerse yourself in the short stories that he skillfully conveys.
