Yesterday, I took my adult son to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 3D and cried behind my 3-D glasses like a completely normal Gen-X mother. Then somewhere between the tears and the popcorn, I remembered the guy in the suit is sober. And he founded a non-alcoholic beer brand. And that brand just dropped limited-edition Spidey cans sold at movie theaters.
Sober representation used to mean a very special episode. Now it's a superhero with his own NA beer in the concession stand. We are living in the timeline I would have chosen.
