FROM THE DESK OF THE FOUNDER
Hi friends,
On a ski season in the Alps, day one comes with a rule: you can ski, work or drink, but you can't do all three. Ben Coombes always dropped the skiing. So he quit drinking in the least likely place on earth, a ski resort in peak season, and figured if it worked there, it would work anywhere. Spoiler: it did.
Today Ben runs Soberski, joins TSC as our newest contributor and is this week's podcast guest. My verdict? Après-ski was always overrated. The mountain was the point.
Back on flat ground, Senior Contributor Anne Marie Cribbin is making fall weirder (say hello to Margaret, the skeleton dinner guest), and Contributor Krysty Krywko has a journal prompt for chasing the small sparks that bring you back to yourself. Then pick your weekend: Mocktoberfest in Chicago, Zero Proof Crawls in 15 cities or BACKSTAGE Book Club from your couch on Sunday.
See you on the slopes (or the sofa),

Follow the Spark: A Creative Recovery Journal Prompt
Sobriety doesn't always arrive with a grand revelation about who we're supposed to become. Sometimes we rediscover ourselves by following the smallest sparks of curiosity.
